Rowen Merrill is a composer, arranger, and violinist whose work includes collaborations with artists such as Neil Young, Giorgio Moroder, and Kacey Musgraves, as well as rising talents like Dreamer Boy, Katy Kirby, Jack Van Cleaf, and Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon. She has sung on major film soundtracks including The Polar Express, Mulan II, and Lilo & Stitch II, and composed music for commercials for brands like Facebook.
In 2023, she released her debut album under Warner Chappell Productions and is currently working on her sophomore release. Most recently, she completed a feature film with Richard Linklater as executive producer.
Raised in a family of professional musicians, Rowen received a lifelong music education—she could sing before she could speak and started studying violin at the age of five. She studied composition, arranging, and orchestration with renowned Nashville orchestrator, arranger, and composer Carl Marsh, studied violin performance with Elisabeth Small at Belmont University, and later continued post-graduate violin studies with the late Roberto Cani, former concertmaster of the Los Angeles Opera.
